The Voyager Connection
Sung to the theme-tune of "The Rainbow Connection"
Verse One
Why are there so many songs about Voyager,
And what does its future hold?
It's television, but only illusion,
And actors must someday grow old.
Janeway's not real, the cook is surreal,
Tuvok just looks like an imp,
Harry's got Seven, his silicon heaven,
And Chak's always looked like a chimp.
Verse Two
Nonsensical pilot, why did they trial it?
Since then it's only got worse.
Wormholes appearing, no fault with the steering,
It's just that the Voyager's cursed.
The clown is a dream 'n' that Harry's still screamin'
Each time he hears "rolling heads".
Tom loves B'Elanna, his Klingon nirvana;
Clichés of spacesuit deathbeds.
All of us under its spell, we know that it's just technobabble...
Verse Three
What gives ole' Chak the right to leave kidzards in the night
And take Kath and Tommy away?
Cars float in outer space, not usually commonplace,
On Star Trek it happens each day.
Lunch makes them throw up, and shuttlecraft blow up,
Doc thinks that Kes is his wife,
Why do we watch it, when each week they botch it?
Perhaps we should get us a life.
La di da da di da doo, la da di da da di da doo...
